Painting has NEVER been easier!!!

Have you ever been to an art gallery and been attracted by paintings that were watercolored or have the look of watercoloring? I personally think they are so beautiful.

Today I am sharing one of my favorite new items being offered in Stampin' Up!'s Occasion catalog coming out on January 4th.
Watercolor pencils help create masterpieces that look like you used a paint brush to give a project its beauty.

Enjoy these ins and outs of how easy they are to work with.

These are just like crayons however, when you add some water to the color it looks like watercolor brush strokes from a paintbrush.  Our amazing card stock, watercolor paper and our amazing shimmer card stock are great bases to create your masterpieces on.

Here are our two products that you can use with these great pencils.....
Here you see our Aquapainter and Blender Pen. The Aquapainter's come in a two pack and just need water added to make it work.
Blender Pens come in a three pack and are ready to use right out of the package and have double sided tips.

Here the water color pencils are used with the Aquapainter ......you can see it creates a very fluid design of colors and blends nicely.
This next view shows the blended watercolor look with our blender pen.
Again truly blends the colors together. Three pencils colors were used to get these looks.

However, as nice as these beautiful backgrounds look creating artistic masterpieces like this are what these pencils are really for. This stamped image uses our great Archival Black Ink Pad
and our New Mediterranean Moments stamp set....

The combination of colors from our line of beautiful Stampin' Up! colors helped to create this beautiful scene.
To make a even more beautiful look layering these pieces
create a beautiful masterpiece.
Stay tuned for more great ideas using these great products!!!

Out with the old and In with the New!!!

When it comes to streamlining life, I often find myself looking for what helps to keep things simple.  In my creative, busy world....a little organization and downsizing often puts everything back in place and helps to gain additional time in my day.

Over the next week or so I am working hard to streamline and organize my personal, business, and creative spaces.  I will be sharing fun tips and pictures to help share what works for me.  While I know not everything I do will help everyone, if anyone can take away even one step to help them it is definitely worth it!

Today I am focusing on some easy items that while they are used for everyday personal things can easily be used to help organize crafting supplies.

First up is ribbon......remember those pant hangers and jewelry organizers??? They make great storage for your ribbon spools and small embellishments

Next up .....remember those great carouselsite that hold your k-cups??? Why not re-purpose one for your embossing powders and glitter....this makes it easy and at a quick reach for your work station. It also makes it easy to transport as well.

Another great household item that can be re-purposed is a wine or towel rack.  Take all those great rolls of vinyl and load these up.
My last but not least tip of the day comes from IKEA. These great baskets and rods can convert any area and space to be much more user friendly. With everything in it's proper space you will always be able to find what you need.

Whether you use the items for what they were intended for or you re-purpose them for other uses you can not go wrong with these great ideas. I hope you enjoyed them and you stop back soon for more great tips and creation.

Happy cleaning!!!!

Did Someone Say White Out???

Hey everyone....

This fun class is called White Out. While we don't have any snow just quite yet, this fun class uses white for everything with a pop of color for the sentiments.

The Santa is given a bit of sparkle to make him pop.....
.....and the piece of cake favor has had rhinestones added for a little bit of being.

The congratulations card adds a touch of bling and color.  Very classy look with white on white.  Next samples will include my gift tag/gift card holder class for December.  It is going to be just in time for all those last minute gift wrapping needs. Happy crafting!

4 Tips on using Stampin' Up!'s Ink Pads

Hey everyone -

I hope you all enjoyed your great Labor Day weekend!!!  Today I am going to share a few tips and a little trivia about Stampin' Up!'s foam ink pads.  While I do still have some old ink pads as well, these new ink pads are just AWESOME!!!!

Here are my TOP 5 tips when using your ink pads....

1)  Lightly tap on your ink pad when inking your stamp. Light tapping produces crisp images and will completely cover your stamp whether it be a wood, clear mount or photopolymer stamp you are using.

Note: This is because the ink pads are juicier then the old ones and release more ink on your stamp producing nice strong images.

2) Use the color label on your ink pad.  When you first get your ink pad you will see on the bottom stickers that have the ink color all set to add to your ink pad.  Simply take the sticker in the language you wish to use and add it to the side of the ink pad.

Note:  This will always have you knowing exactly what color you have when you are looking for that perfect ink pad.

3) Always store your ink pads flat.  These ink pads use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down so the ink is always at the top of the ink pad.

Note: Storing your ink pads upright may cause leakage and a yucky mess.

4) Make sure to re-ink your pads often for heavier used pads. With these new pads you may just have to re-ink a little bit more if you are using certain colors more frequently.  Simply take your re-inker, add some drops in a swirly motion on your pad, and use a plastic spoon to frost over the top of the pad to evenly distribute the ink.

Note: Not re-inking your pads that are used more will result in uneven stamped images.

Visit this link to see just how to frost your re-inker into your pad and to see the best way to lightly tap and get a feel of these great ink pads..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFBaSVRUXGU&list=PL690AA94BDD50C234&index=116

I hope this helps a little bit!  Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more product tips.

Organizing With What You Have.....

Hi everyone....

I am very sorry I haven't posted in a bit but things have been a bit hectic and I had to compose a better schedule so I could find time to reorganize life.  I have gone back to school, have three classes being taken in an 8 week period to start and am in week five now, have a full business class schedule and have to find time to breathe. Lol

I did however make a better calendar to fit it all in now.  I just have insanity for 4 more weeks before a week break and an amazing retreat with my favorite Stampin' Up! friends.

I finally got to do a reorganization of my crafting space.  While it is too hot to repaint and dress up my furniture pieces I am using them to the best of their ability and won't need to buy new. In the fall I will be making them over so please excuse my wood furniture ....lol

Everything is now organized by categories ....bringing everything new and what I use all the time near my work station and retired and things I don't use as much to a cabinet of their own.

We start with my work station....
I utilized a really fun mason jar holder for tools ....
Next I used a fun photo box for projects I am currently workong on....

I got to repurposed this fun tiki cup from my fun Polynisian Dole Whip....
....mmmm yummy

All needed and current items used most have now been moved to this bookshelf...

Next was putting all the punches in one spot retired and new.....
This old dresser made the perfect place for retired stamps and product and great for all my big shot dies .....(excuse the towel on the floor...just noticed it....LOL)

Last but not least .....I relocated the
Project Life station..... With the Big Shot
Now lots of fun creating and
 work can begin.....
Next up the NEW Holiday Catalog and lots of samples and fun events!!!
